Advanced Smile Care Is Hosting a Free Day of Dentistry with Dentistry From The Heart
UPDATE: On March 26, 2011 Advanced Smile Care and their team of volunteers helped 167 patients receive $40,937 of free dentistry. Thanks to all our volunteers and patients! This raises our two year total to 341 patients and $83,457 in free dentistry.
San Antonio, TX – March 26, 2011 – Advanced Smile Care is looking to change lives again by offering free smiles to anybody who needs dental work, as we host the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) on March 26, 2011.
Dr. Crouch, Dr. Kboudi and our team of dentists and volunteers will help 150 people in need of dental work – treating San Antonians in need of fillings, extractions, and cleanings. All are welcome for Advanced Smile Care’s second event with Dentistry From The Heart, a yearly tradition of giving back to the San Antonio community.
In 2010, people started lining up at 7 PM the night before to get a seat in line that grew to 150 by the time the event started at 7AM. At the end of the day, over 400 people showed and we teamed up to provide over $42,000 in free dentistry to 174 people. It was a great event that showcased the power of the dental community when it works together. Pictures can be seen on our Facebook and videos on our Youtube.
“Dentistry From The Heart is our way to give back to the San Antonio community that has given so much to us over these past 30 years,” said Dr. Crouch. “With so many people discussing health care reform and the uninsured these days,” discussed Dr. Kboudi, “We knew the right thing to do to help those in need was to give away free dental work.”
The event will take place on Saturday, March 26 at Advanced Smile Care in San Antonio. Starting at 7:00 AM, Dr. Crouch, Dr. Kboudi, and our volunteers will treat the first 150 patients, or however many we can service by 7:00 PM. Dentistry From The Heart is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by Dr. Vincent Monticciolo in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured. In the past two years alone, DFTH has helped more than 50,000 patients nationwide and provided over $9 million in dental care.

When is the event?
The event is on March 26, 2011 from 7AM to 7 PM.
Can I reserve a spot on line?
No, it is only first come, first serve.
When should I get there?
We recommend getting there before the event starts for a better chance of being seen. We cannot promise anything though, as we can only see as many as time allows us.
Can I get my whole mouth worked on?
Since we are trying to help as many people as possible, we can only give one filling, one extraction, or a whole mouth cleaning.
